How is the Conference different from the Gala?
The fundraising Gala is a separate event on Sunday, July 24. Conference attendees are not expected to attend the Gala, and other activities for the Conference will be taking place at the same time. See here for more information regarding the Gala.
What if I’m too old?
I am sorry to hear that you are too old for the Interior Apostles Conference 2022. You are certainly welcome to come to our Gala during the weekend. If you attend the Gala, you may also volunteer for the Conference as well.
What if I’m too young?
I am really sorry to hear that you won’t be able to attend the Interior Apostles Conference 2022. For liability and safety reasons, we are only allowing those 18 years of age and older to attend. You are certainly welcome to come to our Procession during the weekend. Please come next year!
What is the dress code?
We would like the conference to be a most chaste and edifying experience for all the attendees. In general, please wear business casual for most of the duration of the Conference; formal for the ball; and appropriate outdoor wear for the hike. Let us know if you have any specific questions.
Which hotel do you recommend?
Attendees are welcome to stay at any location for the duration of the Conference. We recommend lodging at the Drury Inn and Suites DTC or any other hotel in the vicinity (Denver Tech Center/I-25).
Is there transportation provided during the Conference?
No transportation will be provided by the Conference for events.
Yes, there will be limited daily parking at the Knights of Columbus Hall for $6-$12. Denver street parking is also available.
What type of formation is there? What will I learn?
Over the four days we will form out attendees in understanding the war we are in, growing in the interior life, and gaining practical directives toward sanctification.
Is there Mass offered? Which form?
We will not be able to explicitly offer Mass as part of the conference. Sunday morning will be wide open for participants to attend Mass at a location of their choosing in both forms of the Roman Rite. Please see our Mass Schedule for more details.
Are you looking for business sponsors?
Yes, we are definitely interested in partnering with businesses and other faithful Catholic organizations. Please contact us at our email [email protected].
Why does the conference cost so much?
We hope to provide a festive and edifying experience to all conference participants. We know the event will be expensive for some. Similar conferences easily cost $350+. Included in the cost are the expenses of the venue, event management and planning, security, personnel, speakers, as well as others. Please consider becoming a benefactor if you would be willing to support others to come. Fill out this form here if you are interested in scholarships.
Who is running this event? Who is SOCA?
This event is hosted by Souls of the Christian Apostolate (SOCA).
SOCA is Catholic lay apostolate whose aim is to renew the Church through formation of Catholics in interior life/life of prayer. See our About page for more information.
What kind of dancing will be at the Ball? What should I wear?
Yes, we would like the Ball to be both wholesome and festive for everyone. We will have a few different kinds of social dances such as west coast swing, contra, and barn. Beginners are welcome, and lessons will be given as well.
Please wear formal attire; we trust all the attendees to present themselves with modesty and decorum. Some of the pictures on this page will also give you an idea of appropriate attire.
Where exactly is the address? Is it all in one place?
The main part of the conference will take place at the Knights of Columbus Hall (1555 Grant St Denver, CO 80203)
We will have adoration and confession at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception (1530 Logan St Denver, CO 80203)
See the Event Schedule for any relevant locations during the conference.
Why is the Conference four days long?
Based on feedback we received last year, we made the Conference longer to give attendees more time to enjoy each activity without feeling rushed or totally exhausted during their time in Denver.
Where will the hike be?
TBD
Will there be an opportunity to learn more about SOCA membership or even working for/with SOCA?
SOCA groups fundamentally entail our small group bootcamp coupled with mutual accountability in living daily prayer.
Those who indicated that they were “interested in starting a SOCA group” when they signed up will be invited to a brunch on Saturday. Those who are interested in attending the brunch but did not indicate so when purchasing their ticket, may email us at [email protected].
Is there a way to connect or coordinate with other conference attendees?
Similar to last year, we have created a GroupMe chat for attendees to coordinate lodging and transportation. This chat is monitored by SOCA’s team. Click here to access the chat.
When/where will next year’s conference be?
We are currently working out logistics for next year’s conference. These will be published in the coming months.
